Vishal Salvi

Speaker Bio

Vishal Salvi joined PWC in November 2014 as partner for CyberSecurity practice in India.

Prior to joining PWC, Vishal served as CISO & SVP at HDFC Bank, heading the Information Security Group for eight years. In HDFC Bank, he has been responsible for driving the information security strategy, policy, risk management, architecture and delivery of the information security program. His deep understanding of IT, business and GRC allowed him to build capabilities that have produced great value for the Bank's business.

Prior to joining HDFC Bank, Vishal served at Standard Chartered Bank for eleven years, where he executed variety of roles in IT service delivery, governance, risk management, and information security. During his more than twenty one years of industry experience, he has held positions with Crompton Greaves, Development Credit Bank, Global Trust Bank, Standard Chartered Bank & HDFC Bank.

In addition to holding a bachelor's of engineering in computer science with distinction, he holds a post-graduate degree in business administration finance and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Vishal is winner of many awards and recognitions for his work in the area of CyberSecurity and member of many advisory committees across organizations and industry groups.
