As Head of Information Security Business – BT India (P) Ltd., where Mathan was employed prior to joining HDFC Bank Limited, he was responsible for the growth and development of BT India’s Security Business including Security, Information Risk & Compliance for Large Multinational Banks like Standard Chartered, Wells Fargo, L&T Finance etc., He had the responsibility for architecting and delivering best in class Security Solutions not just for these banks but also for other leading enterprises like TCS / Wipro Technologies etc. Prior to BT, Mathan has spent 6+ years with Symantec and held various roles in Symantec including being the Regional Manager for Symantec Presales Team – South India and Sr. Principal Solution Architect, wherein he was the Principal Security Advisor to enterprise like TCS / Wipro / Infosys / Cognizant Technologies / Vijaya Bank / State Bank of India / Reliance Group of Companies / Canara Bank / Yes Bank / ING Vysya / Airtel / Vodafone / Idea etc to name a few.

Mathan’s core technology expertise comes from the Security Domain and has been instrumental over the past 16+ years in delivering Security Architecture, Exhibiting Compliance and conducting Security Audits. Customers include Wipro Technologies, Infosys, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy, Tata Communications, Reliance Communication, i-Gate, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, RBI, SBI, Canara Bank, Indian Oversees Bank etc to name a few. Mathan has worked for other major Security Players in India including Mcafee, Apara Enterprise Solutions (P) Ltd, Wipro Infotech and HCL Infosystems Ltd holding various profiles in Security & Data Availability Domains.

Mathan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and has achieved his CISSP in the year 2006. He loves to play Badminton as is a District Level runner up in it. He enjoys listening to Music & does gardening in his free time.
