Bio:

Venkatesh Subramaniam is the Global CISO of Olam International – he has over 25 years of experience in information security and management, and has worked in critical sectors including finance and telecom and in Fortune 50 companies globally.

At Olam, he is responsible for all aspects of security - Plan, Build and Operate - across 65 countries and over 200 locations. He also leads the Privacy Program including compliance with GDPR and other privacy and security regulations across these countries. He is also responsible for OT/ICS Security for all the plants.

Venkatesh was earlier with a leading US mortgage servicer as their Global CISO and Business Continuity Head. Prior to that, he was the CISO of a major telecommunications company, their Chief Privacy Officer and also their Business Continuity Head. He has been a keynote speaker at several international conferences and also been part of the judging panel for a few global security award programs.

Venkatesh has an undergraduate degree in engineering with a gold medal, an MBA from FMS Delhi, and a Masters’ Degree in Computer Science from Boston University.
