Bio:
Addie Wagenknecht has over a decade of experience developing open source technologies that shape how we interact with our environment and the daily processes of our lives- from open source computer vision systems to fabrication machines and robotics. She recently was commissioned by Mozilla to create a large series of opsec videos which went viral.
Addie currently leads web3 for Algorand, a layer 1 blockchain founded by ZKP creator and MOT professor Silvio Micaili.
Her research and creative work has been featured in the Vienna, Moscow, and Istanbul biennials, exhibited at the Center Pompidou, MQ and acquired by the Whitney Museum of American Art. She has collaborated with everyone from Google to Chanel researching and creating methodologies to develop atypical expressions within technology.
She holds a Masters degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University and has previously held research fellowships at Culture Lab UK, Institute HyperWerk for Postindustrial Design Basel (CH), Google's Machine Intelligence Group and The Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University.
