Bio

Ramachandra Hegde serves as Vice President, Global Information Security and IT Compliance for Genpact. Genpact, which started as a business unit of General Electric and became an independent company in 2005, is a global leader in digitally-powered business process management and services and has grown to 75,000 employees serving 800+ enterprises from 25 countries. Ram is responsible for enterprise-wide information security, IT risk management and IT compliance at Genpact.

Prior to Genpact, Ram served as Director, Global Information Security and Chief Information Security Officer for Praxair, Inc, a USD 13 Billion global manufacturer of industrial gases, in CT, USA. Prior to Praxair, Ram held increasingly responsible roles in information risk management with KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Ram has over 20 years of experience in information risk management. He holds the CISSP, CISA and CRISC certifications and is also a Chartered Accountant.He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from Mangalore University, India, and a Diploma in Computer Science from Datapro, India. Ram is active in the information security community has spoken at various industry conferences, including the RSA Conference.
