Paper Title

Privacy leaks on 4G-LTE networks

Abstract

Despite having strong security features, 4G-LTE technology booms with several vulnerabilities. This talks exactly presents the flaws discovered in today's most advanced cellular communication system which is 4G-LTE. We uncover implementation issues identified in most popular LTE phones and configurational issues discovered in major European operator networks. Further, we also uncover flaws identified in 3GPP standards that affect every LTE capable phone in the market. By exploiting these flaws we demonstrate how LTE users can be physically located and tracked inside a city with a 1400 dollar equipment. With the same, we also demonstrate how LTE users can be denied of certain or all mobile services.
